What to expect...

When the time comes for referrals here is what happens. We will most likely know it is coming because of the Rumor Queen site I have been addicted to over the past few months.
This lady is absolutely wonderful and has been my sanity. I cannot say enough good things about her and I don't even know her.

Once our agency has the referral's in hand they will translate them and then the calls will be made. Everyone in the agency stops what they are doing and they only work on referrals. They make sure that every parent has been contacted that day or evening, even if they need to take them home with them. They like to be on the phone with you when you see you child's face for the first time .(What a great job that has to be every month, I would be a crying idiot along with the new parents) They also give you a little information right then. Then the next day the Fed-ex stork delivers it all to your door, every bit of information they have at that point. Name, age, weight, where she is from what she is like ect..... Oooh I am getting so excited right now I can't hardly stand it.. We are next and I am finally getting so excited!!!!! I have never felt anything like this before I cannot even imagine what the next few months will hold for us. Just thinking about it I get all teary eyed, which is about every 2 seconds all day long right now..... The butterflies have not left my stomach since Thursday.

Hey maybe this blogging thing will be good for me who new???? AGH I cannot believe I just said that.. keep checking in you never know it may be a regular thing hehehehe.

Ok back to it, once we get the packet then we look it over and decide if we want to accept her?? DUH?? then we send it back and the whirl wind begins. Travel arrangements, visa's, consulate appointments, packing ect.......Do I have everything? Have I packed enough? oh I am so over whelmed can you hear me now?????

I forgot we also get to send a care package to her as well. So far I have a squishy photo album that will have our pictures in it. A blanket, a list of questions for her care giver or foster mom and 2 cameras for them to take pictures of her so we won't miss a thing while we are waiting to go get her.... I still need a few more things but I will get that together in the next week.

Ok enough for now I am getting all crazy I might drive Mike insane with my excitement tonight.....
