Walker Family Reunion

On July 28th Kanah and I headed up to the mountains for our Walker family reunion. Daddy could not go on this trip because of Jaz dog and her thunderstorm issues (the doggie hotel was full so we could not board her) Thanks Jaz once again. Anyway I was really impressed with how Kanah did on her first long road trip. We stayed in a 100 year old cabin up at Smokey Shadows above Mama Sans. It was really pretty and very relaxing on top of that mountain. Kanah and I went to eat at the Salty Dog for dinner, dad and I always eat there when we visit. Yummy Seafood...

The next morning we got up and went to visit Great Nanny Hester and spend some time with her. Then Nai Nai and Dan met us at the cabin for a relaxing afternoon together. That night Ginger made a wonderful dinner at Smokey Shadows, Aunt Bea came and had dinner with us.

It was really nice to just relax and get to spend some quality time with Nai Nai and Dan.

The next morning we got up and went down to Joey's pancake house for breakfast and to see Brenda. MMMMM Kanah loved the pancakes of course this is the best breakfast in the world! You cannot go to the mountains and eat breakfast anywhere else!

We then went to the reunion and met the Walker clan. This was really alot of fun watching Kanah play with all the kids and meet her family. As always there was lots of good food..and lots of music. I don't think Kanah knew what to think of all the men playing all those instruments. She sees her dada play the guitar but she has never seen this many people playing this many instruments. Next year dada will be up there with them and I cannot wait to see what she does then..

Here are some pictures from the weekend.

I love my Nai Nai and my Nai Nai sure does love me..............

This is me and my Aunt Bea. This is me and my Great Aunt Virginia.

This is Kanah and her Cousin Brianna, I really think Bri enjoyed meeting her cousin Kanah. They played together all day long and Bri really helped me take care of Kanah all day. I think she needs to come to Raleigh and help me with Kanah sometime.

This is me getting cheerios from my great grandparents Pa Walker and Azalea.
MMM I love cheerios and I love my PapaWalker and Azalea

Kanah was such a joy on the long drive. I had a mirror set up to where I could see her and talk to her and she could see me. She kept playing where's Kanah with her snuggly and then I looked up and she was looking at her family book of pictures. I just had to pull over and get some photos.
